Lenovo Windows 8 laptops

Lenovo makes some of the best laptops out there in the current laptop market. What I like most about Lenovo laptops are, they are very sturdy and less fancy. When it comes to laptops, I don't care about fancy stuff. I just expect laptops do what they are expected to do. I prefer laptop manufacturers to ship them laptop with just the Windows installed on it and nothing else.

I bought a SONY VAIO laptop for my last year. It came with Windows 7 pre-installed, which is a good thing. But what I did not like in that it also came a huge number of other trial applications and then SONY applications as well. Many of these pre-installed applications wanted me to activate it for the free 30 day or 90 day use. If I forget to cancel it after the trial period, it will charge my credit card.

Lenovo Laptops

I bought a Lenovo Y560p last month. This is one of the best laptops I have ever bought. Remember this Lenovo laptop is not a Window 8 laptop. Instead, it had Windows 7 Home edition pre-installed on it. If Windows 8 was there, I would have replaced the OS with Windows 8 as soon as I got the laptop.

This is a really cool and powerful laptop, serving me well to meet all my daily computing needs. I use Visual Studio, SQL Server and many other tools and software that need lot of memory and CPU. The Lenovo Y560p takes it very cool. My only regret is, if I could have waited another year or so, I could have got a Windows 8 Lenovo laptop.

Windows 8 Lenovo Laptops

So far, Microsoft has not made any announcements about the Windows 8, even though most technology watch websites speculate the name as Windows 8. Lot of evidence from the leaked screenshots also show the name of upcoming version of Windows will be Windows 8.

Many computer manufacturing companies are working with Microsoft and are testing their products with Windows 8 for compatibility. Also, there are several new features in Windows 8 that they want to make sure will work with the computers from various manufacturers.

There is no official information from Lenovo regarding their plans for Windows 8 laptops or Windows 8 tablets. However, it is pretty safe to assume that leading laptop manufacturing companies like Lenovo will get an early version of Windows 8 and they will release a Windows 8 laptop in a timely manner as soon as Windows 8 see the light of the world.
